-: Son of Soil :-

Somewhere, in this world, a mother waited for her son

To arrive from a battleground, echoing with the sound of gun

He was fighting a battle for his beloved nation

Her heart sank, with every passing duration

With every fired bullet, we were losing many heads

Her eyes glued to television; as he was the lone earner of bread

A news then pierced her ears she was afraid of, the most

Her hope turned to tears, she drowned on the coast

Rushed through the door, looked at the gloomy sky

Wrapped in tricolor; her son bid her goodbye

She tried to hold him back, through her weak hands

Though she knew, her son won’t return to this land

Little she is now left with; few medals and rolling tears

Mother of a brave son, is battling with her fears

Laying his body to rest, she thinks; who will now feed her nest,

A nation lost a soldier, while a family lost its bread!

PS: Dedicated to our brave heart soldiers and their families.

  1. yeah but the bread is not compared to the son bread can come they will not die hungry as there are many schemes for the martyr family but the son they lost was the most precious

    1. They surely have many schemes in their name but to get their due, they are made to run from pillar to post. And their ageing parents sometimes find it difficult to cope up. Agree with you that loss of their son can’t be compared with any other loss. Thanks for reading my post and for your feedback. 🙂 God Bless!
